Attention!

Volunteers needed at the 2026 Rockin’ Rockport TSA Youth Regatta aka "The Cookie Regatta". We need help both on-shore and on the water so get your friends together and come out to help and have fun.

Please Register TODAY! We have many opportunities available for volunteers. We need to get registered as soon as possible so that we can determine the number of volunteers at RYC so that we can inform the TSA on what additional help is needed. This is a great race and fantastic opportunity to help the youth learn and participate in a great sport.

The requirements are as follows-

On the water-

Boats/Skippers

Green Fleet-

1 - Race Committee- PRO/Spotter/Recorder (3 People)

1 - Safety Boat- Bay boat with Skipper & Spotter (2 People)

Opti Red/White and Blue Fleet and Skiffs

1 - Race Committee Boat- PRO, Flag Operator, 2 timers (4 People)

1 - Mark Set Boat & Crew (2 People Min.)

1 - Safety Boat & Crew (2 People Min.)

Laser and 420 Fleet

1 - Race Committee Boat - PRO, Flag, 2 Spotters

1 - Mark Set Boat & Crew (2 People Min.)

1 - Safety Boat & Crew (2 People Min.)

On shore-

Fence Set Up/Take Down - Set up and remove temp fencing around north end of Rockport Beach where Sailing Clinic and Races will be Launched.

Galley- Preparing breakfast and lunch - Saturday and Sunday- 4-5 people each day

Clean up- Make sure the club is tidy, throw out garbage, keep bathroom tidy and top up supplies-Saturday- 1-2 people throughout the day/ Sunday- 1 person through the day and then 2-3 people at the end of the day

Docks- Launch & Retrieval for Green Fleet Only - Saturday and Sunday- 5 people each day minimum at RYC

Registration/Check-in (x4)- Saturday morning- Check in of participants

Score Keeper- Sat & Sun- 12noon- 5p- Inside clubhouse and will be given access to Regatta Network to enter in race results.

2026 Rockin' Rockport Youth Regatta (25 Jul 2026)

Welcome to the Rockn' Rockport Youth Regatta 2026. This years event will be held on July 25 & 26, 2026 and will be slightly different than previous years. This year, all classes except for the Green Fleet will launch at Rockport Beach across from the Saltwater Beach Pavillion at the north end of the beach by the pier. A large area will be fenced off in the Saltwater Pavilion parking lot for participants to store boats and trailers. Green Fleet will still launch from RYC and race in Rockport Harbor.

This regatta is open to all junior sailors who are less than twenty (20) years old and who do not turn twenty (20) years of age during this calendar year; with boats of the Optimist, ILCA 4, 6, and 7, Open Skiff, and Double-Handed (420 Club, 420 Collegiate, I-420, FJ or other double handed boat) classes. All classes are “bring your own boat”. A minimum of three boats is required to form a class. ILCA 6 and 7 may be combined into a single class if necessary to meet minimum requirements.

Registration fee for this years races is $90 and will include a Dry Bag for each paid participant, breakfast and lunch for both days. New and Used Boats of all kinds, Nautical Items: Fishing, Sailing, Power Boating, Windsurfing, Scuba, New & Used Parts, Tools, Motors, Rods, Reels, Sails, Nautical Art, Coastal Decor, Dinghies, & Kayaks Buy, Sell, or Trade.

Vendor spaces available: Booth Spaces 10' X 10' $150 per space. Boat Spaces approx. 15' X 40' $100. Food Trucks (max 4) and Drink Vendors (max 4) $200.
