2026 Rockin Rockport Youth Regatta Volunteers Needed

Registration

• Boat & Skipper - Laser/420 Race Committee/Signal Boat - Sat. & Sun.
  Race Committee boat for Laser/420 Fleet. Monitor start finish line, start race, display flags etc..
• Boat & Skipper for Green Fleet - Sat. & Sun.
  Monitor and assist race participants in Rockport Harbor as or if needed.
• Boat & Skipper for Laser/420 Mark Set Boat - Sat. & Sun. 1 Leeward & 1 Windward
  Bay or Flats boat to set, monitor and move marks as or if needed. For Saturday and Sunday. If not available both days, send email to Race Committee
  
  Need 1 Boat Leeward and 1 Boat for Windward marks.
• Boat & Skipper for Laser/420 Safety Boat - Sat. & Sun.
  Boat and skipper for safety boat to monitor and support or help racers as or if needed.
• Boat & Skipper for Red/White/Blue Committee/Signal Boat - Sat. & Sun.
  Skipper and Boat for RWB Committee Boat
• Boat & Skipper for Red/White/Blue Safety Boat - Sat. & Sun.
  Boat and skipper to monitor and support racers as or if needed
• Boat & Skipper for RWB Fleet Mark Set Boat - Sat. & Sun. 1 Leeward & 1 Windward
  Skipper and boat to set, monitor and move marks as or if needed. If only available one day, send email to Race Committee prior to registration.
  
  Need 1 Boat for Leeward and 1 boat for Windward marks
• Clean up- Sat 1p-4p
  Make sure the club is tidy, throw out garbage as needed, keep bathrooms tidy and top up soap, paper towels and toilet paper
• Clean up- Sat 9a-1p

  Need at least 1 flagman, 1 Spotter. Can use 2 Spotters if skipper can't.

  Crew member to help with setting of marks
• Crew member- Red/White/Blue fleet Mark Set Boat- Sat & Sun
  Crew member to help Mike Gusler with setting of marks
• Dock Master- Sat and Sun
  Overall in charge of of Dock volunteers
• Docks- Launch & Retrieval- Saturday (9a-4p)
  Launch and Retrieval of boats.
• Docks- Launch & Retrieval- Sunday (9a-4p)
  Launch and Retrieval of boats.
• Fence Crew for Sailing Clinic at Rockport Beach
  Set up and tear down temp fence for sailing clinic. Set up Sunday July 19 and remove Sunday July 26.
• First Aid- Sat 9a-4p
  Provide basic First aid to participants if required and contact/liaise with Emergency Services if required

  Help in the Galley for food preparation for Breakfast and Lunch each day

• Sailor Registration/Check in Saturday 7:30a-9:30a
  2 at clubhouse and 2 at Rockport Beach for check in racers and register any late entrants
• Scorekeeper Sat & Sun- 12noon - 5p
  Inside clubhouse and will be given access to Regatta Network to enter in race results.
• Shore Communications- Sat 9a-4p
  Monitor radio and weather and communicate with Fleets
