ATTENTION FUTURE SAILORS!

The RYC Catalina 22s, Marsha and Jack, are rigged and ready for sailing.

The first class will be a 3 part class starting with a classroom session at the club on Thursday, October 24th from 18:00 to 21:30. This will be followed up with OTW  (On The Water) training on Saturday and Sunday from 09:00 to 17:00. We will not be on the water the entire time but will be doing dockside training, rigging to prepare to get under way, docking procedures and tying up on return, cleaning and stowing gear as well as a lunch break somewhere in the midddle.

The book that will be used for instruction is the ASA "Sailing Made Easy" , 2026 edition, and it is suggested that you get a copy to keep and reference. It is available through Amazon or from the ASA website below.

Upon completion members will be checked out or certified by the RYC. You would then be able to take/rent a boat on your own or if more instruction is needed that will be available. Our goal is to make sure you are proficient, safe and confident on the water.
