The Bridge and Board meeting is conducted as best as possible according to Robert's Rules of Order. While this is an open meeting, only people who are placed on the agenda prior to each meeting may speak, unless the Bridge requests your input.

All are welcome as the Spring Series soon aproaches.
Let's get those Sunfish out of storage and cleaned up for some Spring sailing in the waters of Little Bay.
Races start every Tuesday at 6PM in Little Bay, Rockport, TX
Skipper's Meeting at 5:45 PM prior to races every Tuesday evening.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Boat America course is a comprehensive, beginner-level boating safety class that fulfills state requirements for boat operation, covering topics like navigation, safety equipment, and legal regulations. It is taught in-person or virtually, often in a one-day format.

• Target Audience: Novice boaters, paddling enthusiasts, and those looking to obtain a state-mandated boater education card.
• Course Content: Topics include introduction to boating, boating law, safety equipment, safe operation/navigation, emergencies, and trailering.
• Format: Available in both virtual (video conference) and classroom settings.
• Certification: Covers requirements for most state-required, NASBLA-approved boater cards

Volunteers needed at the 2026 Rockin’ Rockport TSA Youth Regatta aka "The Cookie Regatta". We need help both on-shore and on the water so get your friends together and come out to help and have fun.
Please Register TODAY! We have many opportunities available for volunteers. We need to get registered as soon as possible so that we can determine the number of volunteers at RYC so that we can inform the TSA on what additional help is needed. This is a great race and fantastic opportunity to help the youth learn and participate in a great sport.

Fence Set Up/Take Down - Set up and remove temp fencing around north end of Rockport Beach where Sailing Clinic and Races will be Launched.
Galley- Preparing breakfast and lunch - Saturday and Sunday- 4-5 people each day
Clean up- Make sure the club is tidy, throw out garbage, keep bathroom tidy and top up supplies-Saturday- 1-2 people throughout the day/ Sunday- 1 person through the day and then 2-3 people at the end of the day
Docks- Launch & Retrieval for Green Fleet Only - Saturday and Sunday- 5 people each day minimum at RYC
Registration/Check-in (x4)- Saturday morning- Check in of participants
Welcome to the Rockn' Rockport Youth Regatta 2026. This years event will be held on July 25 & 26, 2026 and will be slightly different than previous years. This year, all classes except for the Green Fleet will launch at Rockport Beach across from the Saltwater Beach Pavillion at the north end of the beach by the pier. A large area will be fenced off in the Saltwater Pavilion parking lot for participants to store boats and trailers. Green Fleet will still launch from RYC and race in Rockport Harbor.
This regatta is open to all junior sailors who are less than twenty (20) years old and who do not turn twenty (20) years of age during this calendar year; with boats of the Optimist, ILCA 4, 6, and 7, Open Skiff, and Double-Handed (420 Club, 420 Collegiate, I-420, FJ or other double handed boat) classes. All classes are “bring your own boat”. A minimum of three boats is required to form a class. ILCA 6 and 7 may be combined into a single class if necessary to meet minimum requirements.
